What is my hat size?
Follow these instructions to measure your head correctly and choose the perfect size.
MEASURING TAPE
Use a cloth measuring tape and, if possible, ask someone else for help for greater accuracy.
WHERE TO MEASURE
Always measure your head directly, never the inside of the hat.
POSITION
In front of the mirror, place the tape in the center of your forehead, 1 cm above your eyebrows.
ROUTE
Gently circle the head, passing just above the ears to the most prominent back.
ADJUSTMENT
The tape should be straight and snug, but not too tight.
REPEAT
Repeat the measurement 3 times and keep the measurement that is repeated the most.
PREFERENCE
A tighter hat is ideal for windy or active use; a slightly looser one is more comfortable to wear for many hours.
Frequently asked questions
Do I wear the same size across all Raceu styles?
No. The shape and materials of the hat can affect the fit.
Our hat blocks are handmade, so there may be slight variations between styles.
Materials such as wool and straw also behave differently with wear.
For example, the Florence canotier and the Venice may fit differently even in the same size.

How do I know if my hat fits as it should?
It should feel comfortable without pressure. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one and use a reducer.
